The Sutton Hill Psychiatric Institute
These ‘cartoons’ are not what you would immediately recognise as cartoons.
There are no backgrounds with caricature people in them, primarily because I have no artistic ability to draw anything. The only two things I have ever been able to draw all my life is a lone tree and a woman’s face that is so evil it still scares me.
I had to come up with a format that didn’t change, but it allowed the words to. And so….
The Sutton Hill Psychiatric Institute was born.
People are sent there for all manner of reasons by their friends, work colleagues, family and, if necessary, humanity, because of concern for their well-being.
After a time, they are assessed to see if they can go back into the community.
And this is their time, their assessment…….
